Bill gets his first tattoo

It was a big day for Bill Hart! After a decade of being encouraged, teased, and cajoled by his morning show partner, Carolyn Moore, Bill decided it was time to get his first tattoo! Tattoo Artist, Dave Munro from Trouble Bound Studios, arrived on Thursday morning (May 14th) ready to ink Bill live during Mornings on the Coast.  By the way Trouble Bound Studio is extremely proud to be hosting the Tenth annual St. John’s Tattoo Convention May 16-18, 2026 at the Re/Max Centre. They have 93 exceptionally talented tattooists from across Canada along with some from the U.S. Featuring a weekend of tattooing, tattoo competitions, food trucks and one of a kind art. Get tickets here.

How did it all go down. view here.  Bill says the lyrics “Ya gotta kick at the darkness until it bleeds daylight” from Bruce Cockburn’s classic hit Lover’s In A Dangerous Time because the first time he ever heard the song that particular line stood out for it’s depth and is a reminder to never give up.

Here at Coast, we all expected more crying from Bill. But although he was admittedly nervous he was excited and brave! His co-workers were not expecting that!  Thanks to Dave Munro  for your time, knowledge, and immense talent!

Happy May 24th Weekend from Coast 101.1.
