Provincial

- Government Buildings in St. John's Metro Area Closed, Monday, February 23

- Please note that our Distribution Centre, Manufacturing and Head Office for the NLC will remain closed for today. Please note that NLC stores in St. John's, Mount Pearl, Paradise and CBS will remain closed for the day also. 

- WorkplaceNL's  St. John’s office will be closed for in-person services on Monday, February 23, 2026.  Staff are available to help, please contact us at 1.800.563.9000 or email info@workplacenl.ca. MyWorkplaceNL online services are also available.

- Memorial University's St. John's, Marine Institute and Signal Hill campuses, including the Childcare Centre, will be closed for the day, Monday, Feb. 23 for all faculty, staff and students. Employees who would normally report to work for snow clearing are expected to report to work as usual. Evening classes and activities are also cancelled.

Municipal

- Due to excessive snow accumulation and to allow crews time to clear snow, Metrobus service will not be operating today.

-  All facilities operated by the City of St. John’s, including City Hall and recreation facilities, will be closed for the day on Monday, February 23. Employees will work from home where possible. Curbside waste collection is cancelled on Monday, February 23, 2026. A further update will be provided on the updated collection schedule.

- Town of Conception Bay South’s facilities are closed for the  day 

- Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philips facilities will be closed for the day

- Metrobus service will not be operating this morning, February 23.  An update about the resumption of service will be provided at around Noon 

- all Mount Pearl city buildings, including recreation facilities, will remain closed Monday morning. An update on re-opening at 12:00 PM.  PLEASE NOTE: The garbage and recycling collection that was re-scheduled for tomorrow is now canceled.

- all Town of Conception Bay South facilities will be closed for the full day on Monday

Local

- Priceless Treasures Daycare in Paradise will remain closed for the day.

- office of Dr.. Joseph Coffey will be closed for the morning of February 23rd with an update at 11am. 

- office of Dr. James Coffey, located in the Village Mall, will be closed for the morning of Monday February 23rd with an update at noon.

- Commonwealth Physiotherapy will be opening at 10am Monday February 23rd, 2026.

- Scotiabank branches in St. John’s metro area will have a delayed opening Monday February 23rd with further update at 12pm.

- office of Dr. Tracey Brown Maher, Dermatology Clinic located at 181 Mundy Pond Road will have a delayed opening Monday February 23, 2026. We will be re-open at 1:00pm.

- Carpenter Millwright College will be closed tomorrow, February 23, 2026 to aid with the cleanup of snow removal.
