Provincial

- Please be advised that NLC Liquor Stores in St. John’s, Mount Pearl, Paradise and CBS will be closed for the day.

- Due to continued adverse weather conditions, The Rooms will remain closed for  Saturday, March 9, and programs have been cancelled.

- Memorial University: Due to the closure of the St. John’s campus, exams for online courses that were scheduled for Saturday, March 9, at the St. John’s campus only, have been rescheduled to Monday, March 11, at the originally scheduled time. Please monitor your course in Brightspace for information regarding the room number.

- Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services advises the public that the walk-in clinic at 50 Mundy Pond Road in St. John’s will reopen at 1:00 p.m. Saturday. Eastern-Urban and Eastern-Rural zone hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other sites with 24-hour operations remain open, and emergency services continue to be available. In addition, dialysis treatment centres located at Mount Pearl Square and Coish Place in Clarenville are open.

Municipal

- Metrobus & GoBus will not be operating today. 

- City recreation facilities and the Robin Hood Bay Residential Drop Off will be closed on Saturday, March 9. Waste and recycling for area 5 which was cancelled Friday will be collected on Sunday, March 10.

- The City of St. John's advises of road closures due to heavy drifting and reduced visibility at  Ruby Line from Robert E. Howlett Memorial Drive to Main Road, Cochrane Pond Road from Civic #51-135 off Back Line, Goulds, and Blackhead Road from Blackhead Village to Cape Spear. An update will be provided once the roads have reopened.

- Recreation facilities in the City of Mount Pearl will reopen for Saturday, March 9th, at 4pm. Garbage and recycling collection originally scheduled for Friday, March 8th will now occur on Monday, March 11th.

-  The 24-Hour Parking Ban outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District remains in effect for the City of St. John's. This means that on-street parking is prohibited 24-hours a day until the ban is lifted. Vehicles parked on the road during this time may be ticketed or towed. This parking ban is required for effective snow clearing and/or snow removal. An update will be issued to confirm when the parking ban will be lifted.

Local

- The 4 p.m. mass for St. Edwards Parish, Manuels, CBS is cancelled for this evening.
