La Leche League

La Leche League is a free, supportive, informative and non-judgemental group whose purpose is to help you along your own unique breastfeeding/chestfeeding journey.
In- person gatherings will be held at the Ches Penney Family Y, on Ridge Rd. on the last Tuesday of each month, from 10:00-11:30am .
So come and share some time with other pregnant and lactating parents. Support persons, siblings and grandparents are welcome as well.

High Schools

Holy Spirit High is planning a trip to New York in March 2024. Any student who is interested in finding out more details, are asked to check with Mr. Kearney.

Mount Pearl Senior High will be presenting their annual Fine Arts Night on Wednesday, June 7th.

Mount Pearl Senior Highs underwater robotics team, Husky Explorer, is hosting a bottle drive fundraiser for their travel expenses to the MATE World Championship in Colorado, this June. Please bring your empty bottles and recyclables to the Pipers Mount Pearl parking lot on Saturday June 3rd or 10th from 10am to 3pm for collection.

Prince of Wales Collegiate grads are reminded to fill out your graduate profile for the yearbook.

No cafeteria service for the rest of the year at St. Kevin's High.

Waterford Valley High Grade 11s are reminded to check the school website for a very important memo related to next years course selections.


Junior High Schools


Brother Rice Junior High will be hosting a Variety Show fundraiser on Sunday June 18th at Holy Heart Theatre. Tickets are on sale now.

Any Frank Roberts Junior High student who would like to submit a piece of art work to be considered for their permanent art collection are asked to submit their work to Ms. Cahill.

Macdonald Drive Junior High will be hosting a Spring Concert on Tuesday, June 13th at the school.

St. Peter's Junior High's Grade 9 School Leaving event will take place on Thursday (June 1st).
