The Newfoundland and Labrador Branch of the Last Post Fund will be holding a Veteran’s Service Recognition Ceremony at The Anglican Cemetery on Forest Road on Thursday September 17, 2026 at 11:00AM .
This ceremony will honour a father- 2nd Lieut. Edward Walter Vere-Holloway (1863-1934) 1st Newfoundland Regiment and his son Sgt.Percy Oscar Vere-Holloway 1893-1942 -1st Newfoundland Regiment who were laid to rest in unmarked graves for almost 100 years. Thanks to the Last Post Fund NL/Nunavut Branch, tombstones were erected for them on September 2, 2026.
Family members will be in attendance, and the general public are welcome
