Sun Block Party at the Johnson Geo Centre on Wednesday, August 12 celebrating a 53% Solar Eclipse visible from St. John’s, one of the best places in Canada to experience this celestial event!

Time: 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Outdoor Activities will include:

· Safe solar eclipse viewing

· Telescope observations

· Sun spotter demonstrations

· Additional solar observation tools provided by the Johnson Geo Centre

· Meet members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) and STEM Girls, who will be on-site throughout the event
