The Newfoundland Horticultural Society is holding its monthly meeting Tuesday, October 6, 8:00pm, at St. David’s, 98 Elizabeth Avenue. Doors open at 7:30.

The guest speaker will be George Jarvis of the Avalon Bonsai Club; the topic is The Art of Bonsai. George is a well know Bonsai enthusiast who frequently gives workshops for beginners as well as advanced practitioners of the art. There will be will some Bonsai pots handmade by George for sale as well as a limited amount of Bonsai wire. Non members are welcome and there will be refreshments.
