The Newfoundland Horticultural Society is holding its monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 2nd at 8:00 pm St. David’s on Elizabeth Avenue. Doors open at 7:30.

The speaker is Josh Elyk, nursery assistant at the MUN Botanical Garden. Hired in 2024 under the 2 billion trees project to propagate trees, build and operate a tree nursery, with an initial goal of 500 trees per year, to date they have produced about 2000 trees. The topic will be Pruning, Feeding, and Growing Healthy Trees & Shrubs in Newfoundland.

There will be refreshments and conversation afterwards; non members are welcome to attend.
