The Newfoundland Horticultural Society will be holding its monthly meeting Tuesday, March 3rd, at St David’s Church, Elizabeth Avenue at 8:00 pm. Doors open at 7:30.

The guest speaker is Sara Richards; the topic will be: Mitigating Wildfire Risk Around Homes and Communities.

Sara works as a Conservation Officer for the Gov’t Forest Service with responsibilities for forest management planning, as well as responding to nuisance and injured wildlife. The forest fires of last summer can only reinforce the importance of preparedness for the unthinkable.

Non members are welcome and refreshments will be served.
