Volunteers will be on hand to assist with tax returns for those with a modest income and a simple tax return. First come first served.Modest Income: Single $40,000, two person household (single parent or married/common-law couple) with total income below $55,000.

Join local author Vicki Hallett Friday, 3pm, on April 24th, at Marjorie Mews Library as she shares insights from her new book, *Dear Mr. Smallwood: Confederation in the Words of Those Who Lived It*. Co-edited by Sonja Boon and Vicki Hallett, this book explores letters written by ordinary citizens to Joey Smallwood during the time Newfoundland joined Confederation. The event will conclude with a Q&A session for attendees.

CBS Public Library is celebrating its 50th anniversary and the public is invited! The Anniversary celebration is on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 11:00am until 3:00pm. There will be family events and refreshments throughout the day, including a cake cutting ceremony at 2:00pm. Everyone is encouraged to visit the CBS Public Library at 10 Remembrance Square and help celebrate this special occasion.

The Canadian Red Cross is in need of volunteers to support their Emergency Management Program, the Canadian Red Cross assist families that are displaced from their homes in the event of a fire or other disaster.
